Live Dry Needling Treatments & Testimonials

Dry needling can help a lot of conditions.

Can it help yours?

Let us help figure that out!

At Chiro CLE we offer a service called Dry Needling.  Today we’re here to educate you all about it!   Dry needling uses a very fine needle to stimulate the neuromuscular system of the body.  That’s a fancy way of saying it stimulates your nerves and muscles!  Dry needling promotes healthy inflammation and also releases trigger points, which are tight bands of fascia under the skin. They are very often painful to the touch and can prevent full range of motion.

·

So how does dry needling in fact stimulate the neuromuscular system?  When we insert the needle into the skin at very specific points, we are essentially creating a small lesion, or injury, under the skin.  Your body says, “Hey, come heal me!” and it sends new blood and nutrients to the area to do so. In turn, this speeds up the healing process and can result in decreased pain, increased range of motion, and restoration of function.

·

Trigger points in the body, however, are there for a reason.  A quote from Dr. Brett Winchester, “Trigger points are a good thing in a poorly functioning body.” The only way to get rid of them for good and make sure they don’t come back after dry needling is correct your function. How do we do this? Rehabilitation.  That’s where Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, or DNS, comes in.  This is a technique we are trained in to do just that - restore correct muscle pull on the joints to fix your function! Eventually, these trigger points don’t have a reason to come back because you now have the proper muscle pull on your joints. That’s why pairing the dry needling with rehab is key.

Dry needling has helped fix all of the following in my office and more: tennis elbow, sprained ankle, neuropathy after ankle surgery, chronic neck pain post syringomyelia surgery, shin splints, chronic low back pain, radiating pain to the toe from a growing cyst hitting the spinal cord, shoulder pain, arthritis in the wrist, trigger points in the traps from chronic stress, etc. Any of these ring a bell? If not don’t worry, it can help fix a lot more where that came from!

We’d love to assess you and your condition to see if dry needling treatment would suit you!  Dry needling is not for everyone - there are certain conditions where dry needling is contraindicated.  We go over all of this info along with all precautions to treatment in depth before ever beginning treatment!
