On a survey about the top New Year’s Resolutions for success and happiness, the top 3 are as follows: Diet or eat healthier (71%), exercise more (65%), and lose weight (54%) (Economy). Are one of these on your list for 2021? Then we can help kickstart your year! We are hosting our 2nd annual “Detox with the Doc”. Let’s hear more about it..

Why are you doing this? To put it lightly, toxins are absolutely everywhere. In our air, water, food, the products we use in our houses, put on our skin, etc. Exposure to these all day every day decreases our body’s natural ability to detoxify itself. Toxins can cause many things including: fatigue, difficulty sleeping, digestive issues, food cravings, weight gain, reduced mental clarity, skin issues, joint discomfort, etc. Put simply, our bodies need key nutrients to support the elimination of toxins – that’s where the program comes in.

What detox will we follow? Standard Process has a few different variations of their programs, depending on your level of toxicity. There are either 10, 21, or 28 day detoxification programs. I will talk to each person who wants to participate to go over their goals and assess their nutritional needs which will help decide which program is best for YOU!

I think it’s also important to note that these detoxes are not some crazy intense program where you’re eating weird foods or eating next to nothing. These detoxes are not complicated in the least. You’ll be eating real food, possibly taking a few supplements to assist in the process, and following an overall healthy lifestyle – exercise, getting enough sleep, and eating good clean food! Pretty self-explanatory!

How will it make me feel? I have done these programs more times than I can count, and I can truly stand behind them in saying how good it will make you feel. Benefits of detoxing your body include: increased energy, better digestion, less bloating, weight management, clearer thinking, clearer skin, improved sleep.. the list goes on.

Who is doing it? Anyone in the Chiro CLE community who is looking to cleanse their body of the toxic chemicals that surround us each and every day. It’s a great way to kickstart the new year with healthy new habits. Join me and let’s help keep each other accountable as we start 2020!
